What is The Cordelle, and what types of events does it host?

The Cordelle is a historic event venue in downtown Nashville, set inside one of the last remaining Victorian homes in the city. It hosts weddings, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, private parties, holiday parties, and social celebrations of all kinds.

Where is The Cordelle located?

The Cordelle is located at 45 Lindsley Ave, Nashville, TN 37210, in the historic Rutledge Hill neighborhood, less than a mile from Broadway and Music City Center.

What makes The Cordelle different from other Nashville event venues?

The Cordelle pairs a restored 1800s Victorian home with downtown Nashville's largest private green space, giving clients a rare combination of historic charm and open-air outdoor space just steps from the city center. Catering through Dream Events and Catering, lighting and production through Nashville Lighting and Production, and a dedicated event coordinator are all in-house, so clients work with one team from contract to send-off.

What event spaces are available at The Cordelle?

The Cordelle includes five primary spaces. The Garden is downtown Nashville's largest private green space, a lush, tree-lined lawn suited for an outdoor ceremony or reception. The Covered Porch connects the Victorian and the Great Hall, offering a shaded spot for cocktail hour. The Victorian is part of the original 1800s home, with exposed brick, hardwood floors, and a fireplace, well suited to reception seating. The Great Hall features soaring truss ceilings and a wall of windows that open onto the Garden and Covered Porch. The Loft is a private getting-ready retreat with a lounge, wet bar, and full bath, overlooking the Great Hall from a balcony entrance.

What is the capacity of The Cordelle?

Capacity at The Cordelle depends on your event format. A seated dinner with a band accommodates up to 150 guests, including ceremony. A seated dinner with a DJ accommodates up to 175 guests, including ceremony. A cocktail-style reception that includes a ceremony accommodates up to 200 guests. An exterior seated reception accommodates up to 250 guests. A cocktail-style reception without a ceremony accommodates up to 350 guests. Theater-style seating accommodates up to 250 guests.
